October Community Breathwork: The Descent of Inanna

This October, we journey with Inanna, the ancient Sumerian Queen of Heaven and Earth—goddess of light and dark, morning and night, birth, death, and rebirth.

As the light begins to diminish, we enter what the ancient feminine traditions understood as Womb Time: the darkest quarter of the year, a season for slowing down, resting, composting what has been, and turning our attention inward.

Before the light returns at Yule on December 21st, there is an invitation to descend.

What from this year is complete?
What are we ready to lay down?
What remains essential enough to carry forward when the light returns?

The myth of Inanna is one of humanity’s oldest surviving stories. It is a feminine archetype, but the journey belongs to all of us. We all experience seasons of descent, surrender, darkness, transformation, and return.

Through Mythos-Somatic Breathwork, guided meditation, and sound, we will enter this ancient story through the body—not simply learning the myth, but allowing it to illuminate our inner landscape and inner spiritual sight.
